I thought I would know more as I got older,
but as I got older,
I want to know more things.

I thought I would understand everything as I got older,
but as I got older, there are more things I need to understand.

I thought I would become an adult naturally as I got older,
but as I got older,
I had to get nervous to look like an adult.

I thought everything would get easier as I got older,
but as I got older,
I had to study more,

understand more,
and try harder to become a true adult.

As I got older,

a gentle scent rather than a strong scent,
a calm lake rather than a waterfall,

a profoundness rather than a clearness,
a vagueness rather than a liveliness,
sometimes it's better to go back than to go.

Slowly closing my eyes, slowly
Time passes silently like this
Winding me around
Constantly changing me
